"Sammy" Clause is coming to town

My Dad did such a great job being Santa today at our MOMS Club kids Christmas party. Everyone was very impressed and I think the kids had a blast.

Gus was terrified when he walked in Gus started screaming and tried to run out the other door. He slammed his hands over his eyes and wouldn't take them off. He kept telling me he was ready to go NOW. After I forced him to sit on "Santas" lap and he got a candy cane he was over his fear and excited for Santa to be there. I had to drag CJ down the hall to sit on "Santas" lap but at least he didn't cry. Neither of them suspected it was Papa under the beard and long hair.

Halloween Activities 2009

Boys will be boys!

Our friends Lori and Riley stopped by today for a little visit. The boys had been running around like little monsters from the moment they saw each other. Lori and I were just having a nice visit catching up on girl stuff. When it got unusually quiet Lori decided to go check on the boys. It is never good when two rambunctious boys stop making noise. When we got back to CJ's room this is what we found. They had found the stamp pads (child friendly, washable) and proceeded to decorate themselves. We tried not to laugh, but how do you not laugh at this?

Preschool field trip to the farm

CJ's pre-school had a field trip to Wheeler Farm this week. Gus and I got to go along as chaperones (LOL).
The kids got a guided tour from a farm employee and I really think they learned a lot. We also go to go on the hay ride and feed the geese and ducks. If you notice all the boys in the class 8 out of 10 kids are boys, that's a lot of testosterone for Ms. Jodi to deal with.

True Blood Fans

I don't think it has to be said that I am a huge True Blood fan. For that matter I am a huge Charlaine Harris (the author of the Sookie Stackhouse books) fan as well. That being said some of my friends(also huge fans) and I really got into the show this year. We had True Blood themed parties to celebrate the season 2 premier and finale. We had themed food and a couple of us even got into character for the events. I am so bummed that I now have to wait until next May to read book 10 in the series, and even more bummed that I have to wait for season 3 of the show to come back on, whenever that may be.

CJ went back to Pre-school

CJ started school again this week. He was so excited to see his teacher Ms. Jodi, he really missed her over the summer. He is also excited to have some of his same friends in his class again. I am really looking forward to all he will learn this year!

Sorry it has been so long

I know I haven't posted in a very long time and I am so sorry. We have had a busy summer. We spent a lot of time playing with our friends going to parks and doing all kinds of fun stuff. We were able to take a couple fun trips, one up to Vancouver to visit Justen, Jen and the girls (Allison, Kayleigh, Emberlin and Ashlyn) and we also went up to Yellowstone. We were also able to take a couple other weekend camping trips which the boys really enjoyed. Gus turned 2 in August, I can't believe how big he is getting!
Rather than go into each and every detial of what we have been up to I just put together some pictures.

I'll try not to let so much time go by between posts in the future!

CJ's 4th B-day and Easter

Crazy Gus

The other night Gus took a bath at Grandmas house. My friend Shannon was there with me when he got out of the tub. He came running out into the living room bare ass naked and leaped up on the couch. Next thing we knew he was bent over with his butt up in the air and let the biggest fart. This picture is the position he assumed afterward and stayed like this for about two minutes. We were laughing so hard! Thanks Shannon for the photoshop job making it possible to post the picture!

Before and After

Well I was letting Gus' hair grow out to see how he looked with all his curls. He looked so cute with his little mop head, but people kept thinking he was a girl. So after debating what to do for a few days I decided to cut his hair so he could look like a little boy again!

Arizona Trip

Well I decided since Gus is now 17 months old, it was about time he met he great grandma and great-great grandma on my side. Mom and I loaded the boys along with a ton of crap in the car and drove down for a visit. It was really nice for the boys to see their grandparents and for us to get to visit with them. My great grandma Nonie will be 94 in April if you can believe it. It was so warm down there in the high seventies the whole time (I could get used temperatures like that). I am glad I got pictures of the boys with their grandmas (5 generations still kicking), hopefully they will cherish them when they get older, I know I will!
